Pipɑ:m̓ Catering is a locally owned catering company that provides seasonal dishes rooted in Indigenous culture.
Pipa:m in Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ means frog and represents new beginnings and transformation. Starting Pipa:m Catering was a goal and phase of transformation for Chelsea in her own life. Chelsea’s passion for food and creating unique dishes stems from her parents, whose recipes she uses as inspiration and she adds her own personal touch.
In summer, one of Pipa:m Caterings signature dishes is fresh salmon, caught on the Fraser River by Chelsea. As a fisherwoman, Chelsea brings the salmon from river to table.
She enjoys incorporating traditional Coast Salish ingredients such as salmon and wild black berries when they are in season. In winter, she offers smoked salmon; Smoked by her partner, Prepared by her and inspired by respected Elder, Fisherman Late Charlie Savino.
